verlorene listening on spotify, decided it should be in my collection here too. technically complex, atmospheric, full of rich melodies, with 80s synthwave vibes (?? which I actually loved dearly lol). juicy piece. enjoyed every second of this release. indeed, it needs no vocals. a solid aoty2024 candidate. will also add it to my workout playlist hehe

bmurator German Instrumental Black Metal. This is a one man, Lukas Grässlin, project - the same guy responsible for the totally stellar Nahtram band. Received the email telling me about it, hit play & less than five seconds later, hit buy! Lukas can do no wrong! I have not even finished my first listen & am already writing this... :) So good & a must have for any instrumental fan of any kind! The melodies! The riffs! The lot! What a debut it is & I really look forward to much more! Highly recommended!!!

Le temps des métaphores est révolu : l'humidité froide, c'est celle des larmes qui coulent sur le visage à cause de la dépression. Tout pleure dans cet album : les guitares typées DSBM grésillent, les solos ("The Damp Chill of Life", "It's Painless To Let Go") sont liquides et coulent, les voix prennent à la gorge ; même le piano, étranglé par les sanglots ("Cease"), est aphone. The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
